Get to know Teddy

We don’t have lots of information to share about Teddy until we get him here, but we do know a little bit.  Teddy was born in Sept 2007 with mild Cerebral Palsy but is able to walk.  When they interviewed him they felt his medical needs would be helped a lot in the USA.   He is described as an “awesome little boy”.  He smiles, giggles, plays and interacted well.  His speech was slow, but is catching up now that he is in school.  He knows numbers on uno cards and colors.  During interview counted to 20 outloud.  His cerebral palsy affects both legs and left arm.  He can walk without assistance, but is on his toes and feet turned inward.  He is tight in both of his legs.

Cerebral Palsy can be a scary sounding diagnosis.  It is hard to know exactly how it has impacted Teddy from the little information that we have.  My guess is he has had very little help for his cerebral palsy in the orphanage.  As we get him here we will be able to share more information.  Though cerebral palsy may sound like an overwhelming diagnosis, Teddy’s real special need is the need of a forever family!  We know they are out there and will be so blessed to be able to call him their son.  Please help us find them! Please pray they will know Teddy is their son when they see him.  Thank you so much for joining us in making a difference in his life!
